Account Executive / Account Manager, Data Sales at Kalshi

New York OfficeOn SiteFull Time

What is Kalshi?

Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.

We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.

  • Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet.

  • Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.

Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.

Role Roadmap

We’re looking for an Account Executive / Account Manager to grow Kalshi’s institutional market data business.

You’ll sell Kalshi’s event contract prices, order book data, and historical datasets to hedge funds, asset managers, banks, proprietary trading firms, quantitative investment teams, and fintech companies. You’ll help customers understand how prediction market data can support research, trading strategies, risk management, and financial products.

This role combines new business development with ongoing account ownership. You’ll build pipeline from scratch, run deals from initial outreach through signed contracts, and grow the relationships you bring in. You should be as comfortable discussing a dataset with a quantitative researcher as negotiating a licensing agreement with procurement.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and win new institutional customers for Kalshi’s market data through targeted outbound prospecting, industry relationships, and your existing network.

  • Own the full sales cycle, including discovery, product demonstrations, data evaluations, commercial proposals, negotiations, and closing.

  • Translate customer needs into clear use cases for event contract prices, order book data, and historical datasets.

  • Work directly with quants, portfolio managers, traders, and data engineers to explain data coverage, delivery methods, and integration requirements.

  • Structure and negotiate API, data feed, and licensing agreements in partnership with Legal and relevant internal teams.

  • Coordinate with Product and Engineering to support customer evaluations, onboarding, and technical integrations.

  • Own ongoing account relationships, driving adoption, renewals, and expansion across teams and use cases.

  • Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline, accurate forecasts, and clear visibility into customer needs and commercial opportunities.

  • Bring customer feedback into decisions about data products, packaging, pricing, and distribution.

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in institutional financial or market data sales or account management.

  • A track record of selling to hedge funds, asset managers, banks, proprietary and quantitative trading firms, or fintech companies.

  • A hunter mentality: you create opportunities, build pipeline from zero, and take responsibility for getting deals across the finish line.

  • Experience selling APIs, data feeds, and data licenses, with an understanding of how institutions evaluate, procure, and consume financial data.

  • Fluency in market structure, including exchange mechanics, order books, liquidity, price formation, and how market data supports institutional workflows.

  • The ability to hold credible technical and commercial conversations with quantitative researchers, data engineers, investment professionals, and procurement teams.

  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, with evidence of closing new business and growing existing accounts.

  • Comfort working in an environment where you’ll help build the sales process while executing it.

  • Willingness to work in person from our New York office
You’ve got that dawg in you.

    Especially valuable:

  • A CFA designation or comparable credential demonstrating depth in financial markets.

  • Experience at an enterprise financial data provider, exchange data business, or emerging market data vendor.

  • An established network of institutional data buyers.

  • Institutional sales experience at a crypto or derivatives exchange, or familiarity with prediction markets.

Base salary range: 100k+ Annually plus equity and benefits
