Omi Health is the most trusted destination for pet health, and the first place pet parents turn to for guidance. We run proprietary longevity tests for dogs and combine them with user-reported and historical data to help pet parents extend their pets’ lives. Over time, we are building the longitudinal data layer for the entire pet industry, extending the lives of more than 200M dogs and cats in the US alone.
Thousands of pet parents are on our waitlist, we've raised 4M+ by a16z and the likes, and are joined by leading veterinarians and longevity researchers. Our founders scaled consumer health brands from zero to hundreds of millions in revenue; are second-time founders and met at Harvard Business School.
You'd be the owner of the interface that will change millions of pet lives, working alongside our founding engineer and directly with the founders.
What you'll own
You're in charge of any interface pet parents touch - e2e throughout the development cycle. You'll have a technical backstop in our founding engineer and work closely with Product, but you'll truly own the UX.
Our iOS app: you'll run continuous evolution and reinvention of the centerpiece that extends pet lives. You take user interviews and longevity expert input, ship prototypes, and push them as final features that deliver the kindest vet care pet parents have seen.
Our website: you'll be the one to shape our first impression, and make sure pet parents have everything they need to understand a new category of healthcare delivery.
Other design assets: work with our creative and GTM team to supplement our education and outreach activities with digital offerings that help pet parents let their pets live healthier lives.
You're a fit if
70% Design, 30% Code. We're looking for a designer who vibe-codes, or a frontend engineer who obsesses about design as much as about functionality.
You have a portfolio of things you designed and built that real people use.
You sweat typography, spacing, hierarchy and motion, and the unglamorous states too: loading, empty, error.
You can explain why a screen works, and hold your ground in a critique.
You've shipped in SwiftUI or React, and pick up the other fast.
You build with AI tools daily, and you can tell when their output is wrong.
You talk to users and change things because of what they said.
You like animals. You don't need a dog, but it helps.
Roughly 2–5 years of experience. Bonus: health or data-heavy consumer products, motion, brand work, having been the first designer somewhere.
Probably not a fit if
You need a finished Figma file before you start, or you hand one off and walk away.
Your best work is APIs and data pipelines. Our founding engineer owns that.
You'd rather polish one screen for a month than ship and iterate.
You want to work fully remote.
