BRINC is recruiting exceptional engineers to build the next generation of autonomous emergency-response technology, including flight-critical firmware and advanced pilot-assistance capabilities.

About this Role:

BRINC is seeking a dynamic and proactive person to fill the role of Installer Technician. This role involves installing hardware & software for BRINC’s Drone as a First Responder (DFR) customer program. The DFR technician will travel to customer locations for installation and Seattle Headquarters as needed.

The ideal candidate should have experience in computer networks, mechanical assembly, an understanding of handling/installing electronics, working understanding of low and high voltage wiring, and have a general knowledge of electronics & mechanics as it relates to hardware assembly and troubleshooting.

This role requires a 75% travel commitment to engage with customers on-site, prior to, during and post implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites in varying weather conditions to assemble, troubleshoot, and maintain BRINC hardware and software.

  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, provide timely service, and address any issues or concerns during implementation.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to advocate for customer needs and drive product enhancements based on customer feedback.

  • Ensure installations comply with building codes & safety standards.

  • Maintain strong relationships with our Law Enforcement / Public Safety customers to drive customer success and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to assemble and disassemble products, following installation guidelines & manuals when appropriate

  • Basic computer knowledge and networking aptitude

  • Basic operational knowledge of MacOS, Windows or Linux operating systems

  • General working experience with electronics components, low and high voltage electrical wiring, and general knowledge of mechanics as it relates to hardware assembly and troubleshooting

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work independently and in a small team, take initiative, and communicate effectively

  • Ability to independently book and manage all aspects of travel, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and itineraries.

  • Ability to safely climb and work from ladders at various heights, as needed for the role.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects of varying weights, as required for the role.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.


Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly of electronics for Aerospace, Robotics, Automotive, Consumer Electronics, or related industries

  • Experience manufacturing UAV/UAS systems or infrastructure for commercial, industrial, or defense applications

  • Exceptional Communication & Organizational Skills

  • Proactive and results-oriented work ethic

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification

  • Operational Experience with DFR and/or Public Safety Drone Programs

  • Knowledge of the Google Office Automation suite

  • Technical Proficiency in Drone Hardware and Software

  • Live within 1.5 hours of a major airport
