The 4 biggest blockchain strengths are also its weakness

Blockchain data is public. It is not usable at institutional scale. Despite being open, blockchain data is fragmented, hard to interpret, and painful to maintain. Even a simple question like “Who are the largest Ethereum token holders over time?” can require running nodes, ingesting full chain history, decoding contracts, cleaning edge cases, and writing complex SQL.

Blockchains are optimized for writes, not reads.

They are built for consensus and execution, not searchability, standardization, or financial interpretation. Blockchains are computers, not databases. Every protocol defines its own schema. The same economic action can be encoded in dozens of different ways. The result:

Finance cannot operate on that, it needs an effective system of record.

Allium is building the System of Record for Onchain Finance

Allium ingests, verifies, and standardizes data across 140+ blockchains and 30+ petabytes of history. We close four structural gaps that prevent blockchains from becoming systems of record:

The result is a neutral, canonical data layer institutions can build on with confidence.

Finance is moving onchain

Stablecoins, tokenized assets, trading, staking, and lending are growing rapidly. Institutions need a trusted source of truth for onchain financial activity, just as they rely on Bloomberg or DTCC in traditional markets. Raw blockchains cannot serve that role.

As AI agents begin transacting autonomously, the requirement becomes even stricter. Agents cannot reason over raw event logs. They need structured data, attribution, condition checks, and auditability.

Allium is the read layer that makes onchain finance usable for humans and machines.

Who We Serve

Allium powers three core personas with the same canonical data foundation:

1. Finance, Accounting, and Risk TeamsThey need reliable, audit grade answers. They rely on Allium for financial reporting, reconciliation, compliance, risk monitoring, and defensible metrics that can stand up to auditors and regulators.

2. Engineers and Product Teams They need low latency, production ready infrastructure. They use Allium to power wallets, trading systems, payment rails, staking infrastructure, and real time applications that cannot break.

3. Strategy, Research, and Executive Teams They need clarity and insight. They use Allium to understand ecosystem economics, market structure, user behavior, competitive dynamics, and where capital is flowing onchain.

And of course...agents 🦞. Our customers and users include Visa, Stripe, G-SIB Banks, Big 4 Accounting firms, BCG, Coinbase, Phantom, Uniswap and cited by the Federal Reserve.

The Role
We’re hiring our first Head of Marketing to build and own the marketing function from scratch. This is a rare opportunity to define how one of Web3’s most serious data infrastructure companies shows up in the market — across developer communities, TradFi institutions, federal agencies, and the broader crypto ecosystem.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and work shoulder-to-shoulder with GTM leadership. You’ll be expected to build pipeline, shape positioning, and turn Allium into the default brand when engineers, analysts, and institutions think about blockchain data.

Ideally, a Player Coach profile and can take Allium's brand and positioning to the next level over the next 9-12 months on top of guiding the team.

This isn’t a brand exercise. It’s a revenue function. Strong Preference for NYC based candidates.

What You’ll Own
Brand & Positioning
• Define and own Allium’s narrative across segments: developers, crypto-native teams, TradFi/institutional buyers, and federal customers
• Distill complex data infrastructure into crisp, differentiated messaging that resonates with both technical and executive audiences
• Build the category story around trustworthy, production-grade blockchain data
Demand Generation & Pipeline
• Design and execute multi-channel campaigns that drive qualified pipeline in partnership with BDR, commercial, TradFi, and federal sales teams
• Own content strategy — technical blog posts, research reports, conference keynotes, developer docs, and case studies
• Stand up ABM motions targeting high-value accounts across financial services, fintech, and government verticals
Developer & Community Marketing
• Build Allium’s presence in the developer ecosystem — hackathons, API documentation quality, ecosystem partnerships, and community channels
• Create feedback loops between developer usage patterns and product/marketing messaging
Events & Ecosystem
• Own Allium’s presence at key industry events (Consensus, Token2049, Permissionless, DC Blockchain Summit, TradFi fintech conferences)
• Drive co-marketing with ecosystem partners across chains, wallets, and data tooling
Marketing Operations
• Build the marketing tech stack and measurement framework — from attribution to pipeline contribution
• Work closely with GTM leadership to align marketing KPIs with ARR targets

What We’re Looking For
Required
• 8+ years in B2B marketing, with meaningful time at a developer-facing infrastructure, data, or fintech company
• Demonstrated experience building marketing from early stage — you’ve done this before without a large team or big budget
• Deep understanding of the Web3/blockchain ecosystem — you can hold your own in conversations about L2s, on-chain analytics, DeFi, and institutional crypto adoption
• Strong written communication — you write well and can translate technical complexity into compelling narratives
• Data-driven mindset — you measure what matters and cut what doesn’t
• Track record of tight collaboration with sales/GTM teams, not operating in a silo
Preferred
• Experience marketing to both technical (developer/engineering) and institutional (TradFi, compliance, government) audiences
• Familiarity with on-chain analytics tools

• Background building developer relations or technical content programs
