The Solana Foundation is a non-profit based in Zug, Switzerland, dedicated to the adoption, decentralization, and security of the Solana network. Solana is a high performance blockchain that can deliver a fast and friendly user experience, without sacrificing security. The Solana Foundation is working to realize a world where individuals own their data, use permissionless networks, and transfer information and value freely around the world. What We Do
The Solana Foundation's marketing and communications team tells the story of what is being built on Solana. We work across developers and founders, traders and crypto-native users, institutions and capital-market participants, payments companies and merchants, enterprises and consumer platforms, and the policymakers and media who shape how all of it is understood. We are deliberately lean, fast, and close to the work.
The Opportunity
Solana's voice on X is one of the strongest in crypto. The people we need to reach next, younger developers, users outside the US, anyone touching onchain finance for the first time, spend their time on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and others.
We're hiring a New Media Manager to build Solana's presence beyond X. This is a maker's role. You'll write, shoot, edit, post and read the numbers, at the speed crypto moves.
Core deliverables
A growth thesis for each new platform: YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and whatever comes next. Built for the platform, not lifted from X.
Recurring formats people subscribe to, not one-off posts.
A bench of creators who can carry a format, sourced and managed from the ecosystem.
Breakpoint, Accelerate and event content planned per platform before the event, not salvaged and crossposted afterwards.
Regional and non-English formats where the audience is already there.
Fast turnaround on the moments that matter. Hours, not days.
New-platform content built into priority campaigns and launches, alongside the social lead.
Manage editors and contractors to a cadence and a budget.
Measured on retention, subscribers and participation, not impressions.
To be successful in this role, you ideally have:
Demonstrable success growing a YouTube channel or comparable long-form video presence, with numbers you can show and explain
Hands-on production skill: you can take an idea to a published video without waiting for an agency
Native fluency in crypto culture, including the parts that are difficult to explain to outsiders
A strong instinct for format- you understand why one video works and a near-identical one does not
Comfort being on camera, or a clear plan for who is
The judgment to represent a foundation rather than a personal brand, without becoming corporate
Daily use of AI tools across scripting, editing, thumbnails, localisation and analytics
Bonus points:
You have built an audience of your own
Editing skill in Premiere, CapCut, After Effects or equivalent
Experience with non-English audiences and localisation
You have strong views on what crypto content gets wrong
