Every year millions of people are either filing their taxes in fear or giving up on their tax refund altogether. We're working on fixing that. Our intuitive app enables anyone, regardless of education or background, to file their taxes with newfound confidence.
Spread across Germany, Spain and the UK, the team at Taxfix Group with its brands Taxfix and Steuerbot, is a compassionate group of solution-finders. We speak our minds openly, and with over 400 professionals, including tax experts, developers, and IT security experts, we're rich in ideas and voices. The opportunity:
As our Senior Fullstack Developer you'll have the freedom to work from home or our modern, well-equipped office in Stuttgart (Fellbach). You'll be responsible for evolving our unique tax technology and building a scalable, future-oriented architecture. Collaborating closely with our product and frontend experts, you will leverage AI-driven development to accelerate our growth and deliver maximum value to millions of users.
Your team:
We are a small, highly efficient, and family-like team in Stuttgart, working in synergy with the larger Taxfix team in Berlin. We believe in data-driven decisions, logic, and common sense, while maintaining a culture where everyone is treated equally and fairly. Our tech stack is built on speed and quality, and we are currently pushing the boundaries of what's possible by integrating Generative AI and LLMs into our core development processes. At Steuerbot, we value freedom, creativity, and the courage to learn from mistakes.
Your responsibilities:
Take ownership of the continuous development of our internal services and tools.
Substantially shape the build-out of a scalable, future-oriented architecture and infrastructure.
Expand and refine our existing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Collaborate with product and frontend teams to design and implement impactful new features.
Actively drive AI-supported development by integrating LLMs for code generation and product features.
Explore and implement advanced topics like machine learning, generative AI, and data engineering.
Contribute to the full lifecycle of brand-new products from the very first line of code.
Your profile:
You possess strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented or functional language (Java, Kotlin, Scala, Python), with a focus on TypeScript.
You have a passion for writing high-performance, maintainable code and designing complex systems.
You are highly proficient with modern AI tooling, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or LLM APIs.
You actively follow AI trends and proactively integrate innovative tools into your daily workflow.
You have a strong desire to dive into new technical territories and continuously develop your skills.
You enjoy working in a small, agile team where your contribution has a direct, visible impact.
You are a pragmatic problem-solver who values logic and data over hierarchy.
